Community classes brought mooncake making to Vancouver, Burnaby and UBC, with hands-on mini workshops taught by Abraham Wong.
Traditional baked mooncakes
Golden baked pastry surrounds a rich filling. Shaping, pressing and baking bring out the familiar patterns and warm colour of a traditional mooncake.
No-bake mochi mooncakes
A soft, chewy glutinous-rice skin wraps the filling. These mooncakes are shaped without the final oven bake, offering a different texture and technique.
